Kimberly was born in Wyoming but considers herself a Colorado native having spent most of her life here in Colorado Springs. After years of customer service-based jobs, she decided to return to her love for animals and pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Kimberly attended Pima Medical Institute where she completed both the Veterinary Assistant and Veterinary Technician programs, graduating in June of 2018 with an Associate of Applied Science degree. Shortly after graduating, she became a CVT, Certified Veterinary Technician, by passing the Veterinary Technician National Examination. In fact, it was during an externship at Uintah Pet Emergency that she found her passion for emergency and critical care medicine. Kimberly began at Uintah first as an assistant, then a technician, moving onto head tech, and is now the hospital’s practice manager. Outside of work, Kimberly enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, painting, and is an avid basketball fan. She has one fur baby, a Chihuahua named Drake, and is known around the clinic as the “Chihuahua whisperer.”
