Dr. Young always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian, as she was drawn to helping animals from an early age. She believed she could make a difference in their lives and those of their owners. Hailing from Daytona Beach, Florida, Dr. Young earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Florida. She then completed a 1-year internship at Hollywood Animal Hospital where she was mentored by a variety of specialists as well as worked in the emergency department. She joined us here at Uintah Pet Emergency in 2019. Dr. Young is well suited for emergency practice as she prefers the evening hours and finds great satisfaction in saving an animal’s life. She also thrives in a team environment where she has the opportunity to experience continuous growth. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Young takes full advantage of the great outdoors in Colorado and truly enjoys the beauty of the mountains. She also loves watching movies and of course spending time with her husband and pets, currently 2 dogs and 1 cat, but we all know that can change easily!
